Let me introduce myself

Hi, my name is Annie Polly.

(She/Her/Hers)

I am currently a fourth year undergraduate student at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I am expected to attain my Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Art Education in May 2021. The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program is a professional degree that is studio intensive. I consider myself both an educator + practicing artist. My BFA in Art Education embraces the artist-teacher concept, providing both a broad and focused studio background alongside professional education skills.  I have attained a high level of knowledge in art history dating from prehistoric artwork to contemporary examples. The BFA Education programs utilizes the Professional Development School (PDS) model. Through the program I was required to meet specific standards through the Center for Educator Preparation, ensuring that my education was comprehensive and rigorous. Career preparation was built into the curriculum, including working relationships with school districts in the state of Colorado, which provided me with professional pre-service teaching experiences. My coursework was supported by the Foundations Program, providing me with strong visual language skills, a critical eye, and the technical skills to find my voice and guide others to do the same.

The rigorous nature of the BFA program has prepared me to teach a multiplicity of mediums. I have attained certification to work in a multiplicity of studio spaces- Click here to learn more!
